Inzicht in versterken

In twee overwegend roomse landen waar wij onlangs waren kregen we van lokale bewoners, die Yeshua belijden en Zijn instructies doen, te horen, dat vanwege de roomse inslag het zicht op YHVH’s kalender tot nu toe niet doorbrak.

De Reformatie daarentegen heeft blijkbaar ruimte gebracht voor de volgende stap naar het zicht op YHVH’s instructies .

Dat gaf me te denken. De mensen, die er wonen, zijn er erg vriendelijk, dat viel gewoon op. Vooraf aan onze reis was ik op onderzoek gegaan wie we zouden kunnen opzoeken en dat lukte wonderwel, maar wanneer we in het ene land van een vriend en broeder vernemen dat hij in het gehele land geen Torah houdende gelovigen die Yeshua belijden kent en in het andere land een zuster precies hetzelfde zegt,dan valt dat toch op.

Aan de Reformatie gingen barensweeën vooraf en daaruit kwam het protestantisme, dat op zich niet zo heel veel verschilt van ’t “Roomisme”, zeker als we naar de feestkalender kijken. Maar tóch…

Toch blijkt het in de praktijk een makkelijker stap richting Hebreeuwse wortels, dan vanuit het roomse. In de protestantse landen kun je spreken van een groeiend ontwaken in vermeerderende vorm. Alhoewel het ene land verder is dan het andere.

Wat mij eveneens bezighield of eerlijk gezegd bevestigde is, dat wij hen dienen te versterken, bemoedigen, die op eenzame posten staan en de banier dragen. Het zegent hen, maar ook zij, die hen bezoeken.

Willen wij in onze dagen meehelpen om te zaaien en te delen van wat wij van YHVH ontvangen hebben aan kennis, wijsheid en inzicht omtrent Zijn plan om geheel Israel te gaan herstellen, dan dienen wij onze talenten te benutten en niet te talmen. Vraag Hem wat u kunt doen.

Mij kwamen opnieuw de woorden in gedachten uit Jozua 1: 3 “Alle plaats waarop ulieder voetzool treden zal, “Deut 11:24 geeft dat ook aan “Alle plaats waar uw voetzool op treedt, zal uwe zijn;” Mijn bede was dat het zo nodige Licht door gaat breken, omdat dát Licht verlossing geven gaat, wanneer een mens dat aangrijpt. Heel bijzonder vond ik het dat een van de mensen die wij bezochten dit vers specifiek aanhaalde waar ik een bevestiging in zag!

Waar je je voet ook zetten zal….

 

Wij zijn behouden teruggekomen van een reis die 7500 kilometer meer op de teller zette en zien terug op een gezegende reis, die ons gezin versterkte, ons ontspanning bracht vanwege de mooie natuur en de zon, maar zeker ook en niet in het laatst onze behoefte onze familie in Yeshua te bezoeken in de volkeren. De woorden “Versterk het overige” oa te vinden in Openbaring 3 kwam diverse malen voorbij. In Aveiro aan zee beleefde ik een diep moment betreffende het opbouwen van Yosef in de natiën… Bijzonder dat ik de tien ontdekte bij datzelfde strand…

We mochten een verbinding leggen, die naar meer kanten uitwerkte. Alle eer aan onze Vader, Die dit ons mogelijk maakte.

In two predominantly Roman countries where we were recently, we were told by local residents, who profess Yeshua and His instructions, that because of the Roman slant, the view of YHVH’s calendar had not yet broken through.

The Reformation, on the other hand, has apparently made room for the next step towards the sight of YHVH’s instructions.

That made me think. The people who live there are very friendly, that just stood out. Prior to our journey I had investigated who we could look for and that worked perfectly, but when we learn in one country from a friend and brother that he does not know any Torah-loving believers who profess Yeshua in the whole country and in the other country a sister says exactly the same, then that is noticeable. Both also said that it had to do with the strong Roman influence.

At the Reformation, labor pains preceded and from that came Protestantism, which in itself is not so different from the “Roomism”, especially when we look at the festive calendar. Yet…

Yet, in practice, it turns out to be an easier step towards Hebrew roots than from Roman. In Protestant countries you can speak of a growing awakening in multiplying form. Although one country is further than the other.

What also occupied me or, to be honestly confirmed, is that we should strengthen, encourage, stand on solitary posts and carry the banner. It blesses them, but also those who visit them.

If we want to help in our days to sow and share what we have received from YHVH in knowledge, wisdom and insight concerning His plan to restore all of Israel, then we must use our talents and not delay them. Ask Him what you can do.

Again the words in remembrance came from Joshua 1: 3 “All the place on which your foot sole shall tread,” Deut 11:24 gives that also “All the place where the soles of your feet will come on will be yours;” Our prayer was that it was so the necessary Light will break through, because that Light will give salvation, when a human being engages. It was very special to me that one of the people we visited mentioned this verse specifically where I saw confirmation!

We have come back safely from a journey that put 7500 kilometers more on the odometer and see back on a blessed journey, which strengthened our family, brought us relaxation because of the beautiful nature and the sun, but certainly also and last but not least our need family in Yeshua to visit in the peoples. The words “Strengthen the rest” to be found in Revelation 3 happened several times. In Aveiro at the sea I experienced a deep moment concerning the building of Yosef in the nations … Particular that I discovered the ten at the same beach …

We were allowed to make a connection that worked out in more ways. All honor to our Father, Who made this possible for us.

Europe-Hebrew with Hannah by skype

We met Hannah Nylund at the Congress of BYNC, held at Ariel / Israel. In the personal contact we received, she said she had plans to set up a Skype course in Hebrew for people interested in Europe with English as the language of instruction.

Recently I received an introduction by mail and that is how the idea came to introduce her.
I asked her if she wanted to introduce herself so that you get an impression of who she is and what she offers.

Who are you you, where do you live and when started your interest in Israel and the Hebrew language?

I am Hanna Nylund and I am born in Finland and I live in Finland. My interest in Israel started when I was a teenager. When I was 22 years old I studied my first course in Hebrew, in an Ulpan in Jerusalem, Israel. Since that I have studied on and off in different places: in a kibbutz in Israel, at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, at the univsersities of Goethenburg and Uppsala in Sweden, private lessons in Israel, Ulpans in Israel. I spend a lot of time in Israel.

Are you already active in giving lessons to other people?

I have been working fulltime as a Hebrew teacher since the fall of 2016. At the moment I have 48 students in the week, one private student in English and the rest are divided into small groups, 2 groups for Finnish speakers, 5 groups for Swedish speakers.

What result do people have after the first session of 8 weeks?

The study book works progressively and after 16 weeks we have gone through the whole alphabet and along the way learned both words, verbs, simple conversation and grammar.

How long will it take to speak a simple conversation?

8-16 lessons.

Why study on Skype?

The course takes place one hour in a week on Skype. The advantage with studying on Skype is that you don´t need to travel to the course place. It seems also that students are more focused on Skype, which make the teaching and learning effective. The students are divided into study pairs. With the study pair you practice during the week (for example on Skype) what we have learned in the lessons.

Other things about myself

My mother tongue is Swedish, my second language is Finnish. English is my third language, Hebrew my fourth.

Een historisch perspectief op Hanukkah

Het is deze tijd Hanukkah, een gedenktijd voor Judah om de strijd, volharding en overwinning te gedenken, waarin een handjevol moedige mensen een grote overmacht met de zegen van de Allerhoogste de geschiedenis inging.Het feest wordt op allerlei wijze gevierd. Door de jaren gaand en niet opgegroeid in de joodse cultuur,maakte mij onderzoekend, om te zien wat voor betekenis het voor ons persoonlijk heeft.
Vanwege m’n instelling om de achtergrond van zaken te onderzoeken en niet mee te willen gaan met alleen maar uiterlijkheden, maakt dat ik  Hanukkah nuchter wil bekijken om niet aan de diepte van vernieuwing van beide huizen voorbij te gaan. Daarom was het schrijven van Ephraim & Rimona Frank voor mij een welkome verfrissing!
Recentelijk in de Hebreeënbrief enige waarheden gevonden die Ephraim in zijn schrijven eveneens aanstipt, wanneer hij de Corinthe2 aanhaalt.

“De profeet Daniël (in de 6e eeuw voor Christus) voorzag de opkomst van het Griekse rijk, de uiteindelijke opsplitsing in vier delen en vooral gewezen op het regime van Antiochus IV Epiphanes, de Seleucidische koning die aan de macht kwam in 175 voor Christus. (Zie Daniël 11: 1-4; 21-25).
Het was tegen deze koning en zijn wrede edicten dat de Maccabische familie een opstand leidde in de jaren 167-160 voor Christus, met een goede reden.
De religieuze verboden tegen de Joodse bevolking in Israël in die tijd waren zeer streng, resulterend in afschuwelijke straffen voor iedereen die deze edicten durfde tegen te gaan.
De proces van de militante rebellie was kort, wat niet alleen resulteerde in religieuze vrijheid, maar ook in het bereiken van autonomie voor de Joden van de Griekse / Seleucidische controle.

Vanaf dat moment namen de Makkabeeën, die een priesterlijk gezin waren, de leiding van Judea op zich en handelden in verschillende hoedanigheden, maar onthilden zich van de rechterlijke macht en koninklijke plichten (terwijl ze een pact met Rome sloten, dat de weg vrijmaakte voor de laatste om de beginnende staat beginnen te beïnvloeden). In het jaar 104 B.C. John Aristobulus I en vervolgens zijn broer Alexander Jannaeus verklaarden zich zowel koningen als hogepriesters. Vanaf dat punt begonnen de dingen  af te nemen, resulterend in een morele, spirituele en nationale achteruitgang van het ‘koninkrijk’, zoals we een eeuw later zien ten tijde van Yeshua. Het is duidelijk dat de familie die zo op wonderbaarlijke wijze tegen alle verwachtingen in een oorlog met een supermacht won, niet de beginselen die ze hadden nagestreefd, hoog hield en het volk van Israël-Judea verried.

Hoewel deze kronieken van de opstand geen deel uitmaken van de Schrift, maar zoals we hierboven zagen, was er een duidelijke verwijzing naar wat er een paar eeuwen tevoren in Judea zou gebeuren.

Aangezien de herdenking en reiniging van de tempel (in het jaar 138 v.Chr.) Hanukkah is (of zou moeten zijn), laten we ons dan wenden tot een bijbelse tekst (rond 520 voor Christus) die uitsluitend gericht is op de Tempel van Elohim en zijn plaats in het leven van het volk van Israël:
Dat is het boek van de profeet Haggaï.
Dit korte boek heeft nogal wat dingen te zeggen over het Huis van Elohim en zijn heiligheid. Bovendien, aangezien de historische datum van de Hanukkahviering de 25e van de 9e maand (Kislev) is, verwijst Haggai driemaal naar de 24e van de 9e maand (die allemaal op hetzelfde jaar zijn, “het tweede jaar van Darius”) , hoofdstuk 2:10, 18, 20) bijna 400 jaar vóór de Hanukkah-gebeurtenis..

In feite zegt hij in 2:18: “Bedenk nu vanaf deze dag, vanaf de vierentwintigste dag van de negende maand, vanaf de dag dat de grondlegging van de tempel van YHVH werd gelegd – houd rekening met:” (cursivering toegevoegd). Haggai leefde in de tijd van de terugkeer naar Sion, na de 70-jarige ballingschap in Babylon, toen de tweede Tempel werd gebouwd. Die profeet maakte zich grote zorgen over het nieuwe huis van Elohim, de goede fundamenten en de juiste zorg en houding van degenen die erbij zouden zijn.

In het boek dat volgt op Haggaï, Zacharias, wordt hetzelfde jaar (Darius ‘2e) opnieuw genoemd, met profetieën die betrekking hebben op Jeruzalem, op Sion EN, nogmaals, op het huis van YHVH. Maar hier is het YHVH Zelf die Zijn ijver voor die plaatsen verklaart, en Zijn woord van belofte betreffende hen: “Verkondig, zeggende,” aldus zegt YHVH Tzevaot: “Alzo zegt YHVH der heirscharen: Ik ijver over Jeruzalem en over Sion met een groten ijver. 

Zec 1:15  En Ik ben met een zeer groten toorn vertoornd tegen die geruste heidenen; want Ik was een weinig toornig, maar zij hebben ten kwade geholpen. 
Zec 1:16  Daarom zegt YHVH alzo: Ik ben tot Jeruzalem wedergekeerd met ontfermingen; Mijn huis zal daarin gebouwd worden, spreekt YHVH der heirscharen, en het richtsnoer zal over Jeruzalem uitgestrekt worden. 
Zec 1:17  Roep nog, zeggende: Alzo zegt YHVH der heirscharen: Mijn steden zullen nog uitgespreid worden vanwege het goede; want YHVH zal Sion nog troosten, en Hij zal Jeruzalem nog verkiezen.  ” (Zach.1: 14b-17).

Een paar eeuwen later demonstreerde Yeshua Zijn ijver voor het toen bestaande Huis van Elohim. Mattheüs 21: 12-13: “Toen ging Yeshua naar de tempel van Elohim en verdreef allen die in de tempel kochten en verkochten, en veranderde de tafels van de geldwisselaars en de zetels van degenen die duiven verkochten, en Hij zei tegen “Er staat geschreven:” Mijn huis zal een huis van gebed worden genoemd “, maar u hebt het tot een ‘hol van dieven’ gemaakt. ‘Hij zei ook tegen de kooplieden:’ Maak van mijn vaders huis geen huis van koopwaar “(Johannes 2:16).” En Hij wilde niet dat iemand goederen door de tempel droeg “(Marcus 11:16).Het was precies dezelfde scène en locatie die Yeshua ook toevoegde: “Vernietig deze tempel en binnen drie dagen zal ik hem oprichten.” Toen zeiden de Joden: ‘Het heeft zesenveertig jaar geduurd om deze tempel te bouwen en zal Steekt u het in drie dagen op? “Maar Hij sprak over de tempel van zijn lichaam (Johannes 2: 19-21). “De tempel van zijn lichaam” !? Ja, het lichaam van Yeshua dat voor ons is gegeven (zie Lucas 22:19). Als we deze gedachtegang een stap verder volgen, vertelt de Bijbel ons ook dat wij ook de ‘tempel’ zijn.

Daarom spoort Paulus aan: “Vorm geen ongelijk span met ongelovigen. Want wat voor gemeenschap heeft gerechtigheid met wetteloosheid? En welke gemeenschap heeft licht met duisternis? En welk akkoord heeft de Messias met Belial? Of welk deel heeft een gelovige met een ongelovige? En welke overeenstemming heeft de tempel van Elohim met afgoden? Want u bent de tempel van de levende Elohim, zoals Elohim heeft gezegd: ‘Ik zal in hen wonen en onder hen wandelen. Ik zal hun Elohim zijn, en zij zullen Mijn volk zijn. “Daarom” Kom uit uit hun midden en scheidt u af “, zegt YHVH. Raakt niet wat onrein is en ik zal u ontvangen. Ik zal een Vader voor u zijn, en jullie zullen Mijn zonen en dochters zijn, ‘zegt YHVH Almachtig’ (2 Korinthiërs 6: 14-18 nadruk toegevoegd).

We hebben een lange reis gemaakt door YHVH’s huis of tempel, maar is dit niet de essentie van de viering van deze tijd van het jaar? Moge deze Chanoeka inderdaad voor ons een feest van licht zijn als we Degene die “het Licht van de wereld” is, vieren en die ons vertelde dat “Hij die Mij volgt, niet in duisternis zal wandelen, maar het licht des levens heeft” ( Johannes 8:12), en dat wij, net als Hij, “het licht van de wereld” zullen zijn (Mattheüs 5:14). Met gereinigde tempels zal zeker Zijn licht door ons “zo schijnen voor de mensen, dat zij moge uw / onze goede werken zien en uw / onze Vader in de hemel verheerlijken “(Mattheüs 5:16).”

Verborgen aanwezig

Afgelopen week was ik in Israel en ik kreeg gedachten over een patroon en parallel.

Namen kwamen in mij op…

Yosef…Yeshua…Efraïm… ook nu!

Yosef werd niet herkend door zijn broers. Hij was een regent aan het hof in Egypte. De vraag is natuurlijk ook of de broers überhaupt verwachtten dat Yosef daar zou zijn, maar uitgaande van de gang van zaken,zal hij er egyptisch uit hebben gezien..

Gen 42:7  Als Jozef zijn broederen zag, zo kende hij hen; maar hij hield zich vreemd jegens hen, en sprak hard met hen, en zeide tot hen: Van waar komt gij? En zij zeiden: Uit het land Kanaan; om spijze te kopen. 
Gen 42:8  Jozef dan kende zijn broederen; maar zij kenden hem niet. 

Yeshua werd niet herkend door de zijnen wie Hij was. Opmerkelijk genoeg ging Hij niet openlijk naar het loofhuttenfeest in Jeruzalem, gezien de woorden uit Joh/Yoch 7…

Joh 7:10  Maar als Zijn broeders opgegaan waren, toen ging Hij ook Zelf op tot het feest, niet openlijk, maar als in het verborgen. 

Efraïm…Ik heb Efraïm, het Israel naar de belofte in Jeruzalem gezien en gesproken. En ik heb iets opgemerkt waardoor ik tot de gedachte kwam dat Efraïm, het huis van Israel , wat Lo Ammi was, hetzelfde traject ondergaat als Yosef en Yeshua. Zij worden niet herkend en zijn zó bewogen voor hun andere broers, maar kunnen dat ten volle niet delen. Efraim was verborgen in de volkeren voor lange tijd en dáár trok de Ruach haKodesh hen, getuige Deu 30:1 

Voorts zal het geschieden, wanneer al deze dingen over u zullen gekomen zijn, deze zegen of deze vloek, die ik u voorgesteld heb; zo zult gij het weder ( in tegenstelling tot het huis van Juda die oa de shabbat altijd bleef doen)ter harte nemen, onder alle volken, waarheen u de HEERE, uw God, gedreven heeft; 
Deu 30:2  En gij zult u bekeren tot den HEERE, uw God, en Zijner stem gehoorzaam zijn, naar alles, wat ik u heden gebiede, gij en uw kinderen, met uw ganse hart en met uw ganse ziel. 
Deu 30:3  En de HEERE, uw God, zal uw gevangenis wenden, en Zich uwer ontfermen; en Hij zal u weder vergaderen uit al de volken, waarheen u de HEERE, uw God, verstrooid had. 
Deu 30:4  Al waren uw verdrevenen aan het einde des hemels, van daar zal u de HEERE, uw God, vergaderen, en van daar zal Hij u nemen. 
Deu 30:5  En de HEERE, uw God, zal u brengen in het land, dat uw vaderen erfelijk bezeten hebben, en gij zult dat erfelijk bezitten; en Hij zal u weldoen, en zal u vermenigvuldigen boven uw vaderen. 

Jer_31:18  Ik heb wel gehoord, dat zich Efraim beklaagt, zeggende: Gij hebt mij getuchtigd, en ik ben getuchtigd geworden als een ongewend kalf. Bekeer mij, zo zal ik bekeerd zijn, want Gij zijt de HEERE, mijn God!
Jer_31:20  Is niet Efraim Mij een dierbare zoon, is hij Mij niet een troetelkind? Want sinds Ik tegen hem gesproken heb, denk Ik nog ernstelijk aan hem; daarom rommelt Mijn ingewand over hem; Ik zal Mij zijner zekerlijk ontfermen, spreekt de HEERE.

Jer_31:9  Zij zullen komen met geween, en met smekingen zal Ik hen voeren; Ik zal hen leiden aan de waterbeken, in een rechte weg, waarin zij zich niet zullen stoten; want Ik ben Israel tot een Vader, en Efraim is Mijn eerstgeborene.

Eze_37:16  Gij nu, mensenkind! neem u een hout, en schrijf daarop: Voor Juda, en voor de kinderen Israels, zijn metgezellen; en neem een ander hout, en schrijf daarop: Voor Jozef, het hout van Efraim, en van het ganse huis Israels, zijn metgezellen.

Ik heb de straten vol gezien met hen die Yeshua erkennen en Hem belijden en het effect van Zijn Licht in ons door ons heen zien stromen. Stilzwijgend en aanwezig.

Ik sprak iemand die mij vertelde wat ik zelf ook dacht. De hereniging heeft nog niet plaats gevonden daar de natie Yeshua nog niet heeft verwelkomd en daarom kunnen we er niet blijven. En daarom blijft er voor ons een belangrijke taak in de volkeren om een getuige te zijn, dat de Vader met name christenen hun bijbelse identiteit wil laten ontdekken opdat het huis van Israel vol worde. Zij eerst volgens de profetie bevestigd in de Romeinenbrief en daarna Juda.

Het was Vaders gekozen lokatie boven alle steden in de wereld. Een deel van Zijn totale lokatie die Hij koos. Dat ervaar je wanneer je er bent. Het voelt als  een welkom briesje op een warme dag.

Ik ken geen andere lokatie ter wereld waar je bij wijze van spreke een ieder aan kan spreken om te vragen naar zijn of haar motivatie daar te zijn. Ik heb zoveel meer mensen gezien die weten dat zij Israel zijn, maar nog niet herkend worden. Die gewaarwording, besef ik, is net als bij Yosef en Yeshua voor latere tijd. Op individuele basis zijn er die kostbare ontmoetingen met de twee huizen in kort bestek, want het begin is gemaakt door Hem.Nationale hereniging ligt wat verder in het verschiet.

Romeinen 9-11

Enkele dáár geschreven gedachten

Nadenken over dat speciale gevoel dat ik hier ervaar…
Het zijn niet de joodse mensen die mij dat gevoel geven alhoewel de gezongen hebreeuwse liederen mij naar t verlangen brengen van YHVH’S hand om ons te doen naderen. Ook Juda mist iets fundamenteels. Dat ervaar ik nu ik opnieuw hier ben. Daarom ben ik gaan nadenken waar t vandaan kwam, dat gevoel van hier even willen zijn.

Het is denk ik tóch Zijn gekozen land, die mij terug wil doen keren en dat Hij via dat gevoel, zo noem ik t maar even, mij gebruikt of iets wil delen om te delen.

Wij als Yosef in de volkeren hebben de volheid in Yeshua. Niet Juda heeft ons doen beseffen om terug te keren naar YHVH’S geboden! Hij was het Zelf; door Zijn Ruach maakte Hij Zijn verborgen wegen bekend. Het zou weleens aan ons enthousiasme kunnen liggen, dat we denken dat het sprankelende verlangen bij Juda vandaan kont, maar het is Hij Die dat in ons bewerken doet. De Ish- Bruidegom- Man, Die voor ons, de verloren schapen van het huis Israel, stierf om zo de weggezonden vrouw opnieuw te kunnen huwen.. Juda op zeker tijdstip te doen gaan beseffen, dat Yosef/Israel naar de belofte teruggekeerd is naar de ketuba van haar Man en Maker.

In gedachten houdende dat Juda, een onderdeel van het gehele volk, sinds een deel (Yosef/Efraim/Israel) van datzelfde gehele volk weggezonden werd, onvolledig is.. Kan het ook niet anders dat de volheid bij YHVH te verwachten is en niet bij Juda. Uit het feit dat de ultieme hereniging nog niet is, mogen we opmaken dat we sowieso mogen gaan onderscheiden:
— waar t sprankelende verlangen vandaan komt.
— hoe wij Juda mogen en kunnen benaderen zodat Yeshua Zijn plaats behoudt en er behagen in schept.
— wat mij mogen betekenen in Zijn gekozen land en Jeruzalem
— aan wie wij daadwerkelijk de eer brengen
— welke taak wij hebben in de volkeren

Women in ministry- is that biblical?

Intriguing title … Also in the messianic circuit, but it’s good to have a closer look, because Yeshua has come to restore everything. The sources I quote next to the Word confirm my thoughts. However, the Word is decisive. You may proof my thoughts. Shalom!

Kisha Gallacher says something confronting in the video below this article and that helps to put our feet in YHVH’s track instead of continuing to embrace outdated patterns, unless they have been able to stand the Hebrew “viewing test” of the Word. Hence the incentive to refer to the Word.

What does the Scripture say about it?

Women in the scriptures who taught, prophesied, served, and became leaders.

The Torah contains instructions and promised blessings that are available for men, women and children. Women are encouraged to hear for themselves, to learn, to study and to teach the scriptures as men do.

“Gather the people, men, women, and children, and your stranger that is in your gates, that they may hear, and that they learn, and fear YHVH, your Elohim, and observe every word of this law.” Deuteronomy 31:12

“And he read there in front of the street that was before the water gate, from early morning till noon, for the men and the women, and those who could understand it, and the ears of all the people were attentive to the book. of the law.” Nehemiah 8: 3

Is not a prophet or prophetess someone who share the Scriptures?

Nine of the eighteen names in the last chapter Romans are women:

Romans 16: 2 That ye may receive her in Elohim, as befits the saints, and assist her in whatever matter she may have to do to thee; for she has been a supporter of many, also of myself.

Romans 16: 4 Who have made their necks for my life; who not only thank me, but also all the churches of the Gentiles.

Romans 16: 5 Also greet the church in their house. Greet Epenetus, my beloved, who is the firstfruits of Achaia in Yeshua.

Rom 16:18 For such do not serve our Yeshua haMasshiach, but their belly; and seduce by preaching and praising the hearts of the simple.
Rom 16:19 For your obedience has come to the knowledge of all. I then rejoice over you; and I want you to be wise in good, but silly in evil.
Rom 16:20 And the Elohim of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The mercy of our Yeshua be with you. Amen.

Bewustworden is naderen

Onlangs viel mijn oog op het laatste gedeelte in Romeinen 7. Verfrist na een weekend in België bij vrienden, alwaar we samen spraken over ditzelfde begrip, bleef het bij mij, zodat ik eruit meen te begrijpen dat het goed is het te verwoorden.

Rom 7:4  Zo dan, mijn broeders, gij zijt ook der wet gedood door het lichaam van Yeshua, opdat gij zoudt worden eens Anderen, namelijk Desgenen, Die van de doden opgewekt is, opdat wij Gode vruchten dragen zouden. 

De zonde te toe te laten, worden wij gewaar van de wet en de gevolgen van de zonde inclusief de conditie ervan. Door Yeshua’s verlossingswerk werd de wet der zonde en dood teniet gedaan. Daardoor ontstond de gelegenheid om bij Hem te gaan behoren, mits we Zijn voorwaarden aanvaarden.

Rom 7:5  Want toen wij in het vlees waren, wrochten de bewegingen der zonden, die door de wet zijn, in onze leden, om den dood vruchten te dragen. 

Bovenstaand vers beschrijft exact onze staat zonder Yeshua’s inwoning in onze geest.

Rom 7:6  Maar nu zijn wij vrijgemaakt van de wet, overmits wij dien gestorven zijn, onder welken wij gehouden waren; alzo dat wij dienen in nieuwigheid des geestes, en niet in de oudheid der letter. 

Vrijgemaakt zijn van de wet der zonde en dood, kan alleen, wanneer Zijn Geest in ons woont. Vooraf aan deze inwoning, stierven wij aan onze zondige staat. Eigenlijk te groots voor woorden dat wij vóór Zijn inwoning leefden vanuit onszelf en erna “in nieuwigheid des geestes” daarbij en ernaast onze natuur met ons.

Rom 7:7  Wat zullen wij dan zeggen? Is de wet zonde? Dat zij verre. Ja, ik kende de zonde niet dan door de wet; want ook had ik de begeerlijkheid niet geweten zonde te zijn, indien de wet niet zeide: Gij zult niet begeren. 

Erg mooi dat Paulus uitlegt dat de wet op zich, die ons bewust maakt dat zonde zonde is, niet verkeerd is, maar juist perfect. Voor de bewustwording van de wet, kende Paulus de zonde niet als zonde. Hij beschrijft zijn inzicht over het begrip “begeren” voor en na de kennis van de wet.

Rom 7:8  Maar de zonde, oorzaak genomen hebbende door het gebod, heeft in mij alle begeerlijkheid gewrocht; want zonder de wet is de zonde dood. 

“zonder de wet is de zonde dood…” Zonder de wet, die door de inwoning van YHVH’s Geest levend wordt ten gunste, leidt de zonde tot de dood, daar we zonder Zijn Geest niets hebben om op terug te vallen. Zou dat waar zijn? Als ik naar het volgende vers kijk…

Rom 7:9  En zonder de wet, zo leefde ik eertijds; maar als het gebod gekomen is, zo is de zonde weder levend geworden, doch ik ben gestorven. 

Met andere woorden hetzelfde herhalen. Zónder de bewustwording ten gevolge van Zijn inwoning zouden we absoluut richting de dood gaan. Dus het gebod wordt niet levend tenzij Hij ons eerstens redt en levend maakt in onsze geest. Dat geeft weer dat de staat van onze geest waarin we eertijds waren, slapend was. En we worden niet eerder levend in onze geest dan wanneer we eerstens aan onze vorige staat gestorven zijn. Gestorven wil hier zeggen dat het oude voorbij ging en het nieuwe kwam. Een overstappen. Doet dat niet denken aan onze vader Abraham die een hebreeër was en overstapte? 

Rom 7:10  En het gebod, dat ten leven was, hetzelve is mij ten dood bevonden. 
Rom 7:11  Want de zonde, oorzaak genomen hebbende door het gebod, heeft mij verleid, en door hetzelve gedood. 

In deze verzen beschrijft Paulus dat door zonde, die hij deed, hij ervaart dat het gebod ten leven hem voorgehouden wordt en hem doet inzien dat wanneer hij zich niet bekeert, datzelfde gebod aangeeft dat er geen doorgang mogelijk is, klopt dat?

Rom 7:12  Alzo is dan de wet heilig, en het gebod is heilig, en rechtvaardig, en goed. 

Absoluut waar. Daarnaast is de wet niet ver boven ons en niet achter ons, zoals Mozes beschrijft in Deuteronomium 30:11  Want ditzelve gebod, hetwelk ik u heden gebiede, dat is van u niet verborgen, en dat is niet verre. 
Deu 30:12  Het is niet in den hemel, om te zeggen: Wie zal voor ons ten hemel varen, dat hij het voor ons hale, en ons hetzelve horen late, dat wij het doen? 
Deu 30:13  Het is ook niet op gene zijde der zee, om te zeggen: Wie zal voor ons overvaren aan gene zijde der zee, dat hij het voor ons hale, en ons hetzelve horen late, dat wij het doen? 
Deu 30:14  Want dit woord is zeer nabij u, in uw mond, en in uw hart, om dat te doen. 

Rom 7:13  Is dan het goede mij de dood geworden? Dat zij verre. Maar de zonde is mij de dood geworden; opdat zij zou openbaar worden zonde te zijn; werkende mij door het goede den dood; opdat de zonde boven mate wierd zondigende door het gebod. 

Door deze verzen met aandacht te lezen, ontdekken we dat Paulus een manier van uitleggen heeft, die we in onze over het algemeen westers griekse mindset wellicht wat overvloedig vinden. Er is echter een beter effect van inprenting bij het herhalen van een onderwerp, zeker een onderwerp als deze! Paulus vervolgt en herhaalt dat de zonde dood geworden is, krachteloos gemaakt, door zijn wedergeboren staat. Zodat de wet ten leven de zonde openbaar maakt dwz Paulus zich ervan bewust geworden is en ermee kan afrekenen. en dit is mogelijk door de nieuwe staat van Paulus. Dat legt hij aan ons uit.Onderstaande verzen beschrijven een strijd tussen zijn zondeloze geest en zijn natuur. Ervaren wij dat ook zo?

Rom 7:14  Want wij weten, dat de wet geestelijk is, maar ik ben vleselijk, verkocht onder de zonde. 
Rom 7:15  Want hetgeen ik doe, dat ken ik niet; want hetgeen ik wil, dat doe ik niet, maar hetgeen ik haat, dat doe ik. 
Rom 7:16  En indien ik hetgene doe, dat ik niet wil, zo stem ik de wet toe, dat zij goed is. 
Rom 7:17  Ik dan doe datzelve nu niet meer, maar de zonde, die in mij woont. 
Rom 7:18  Want ik weet, dat in mij, dat is, in mijn vlees, geen goed woont; want het willen is wel bij mij, maar het goede te doen, dat vind ik niet. 
Rom 7:19  Want het goede dat ik wil, doe ik niet, maar het kwade, dat ik niet wil, dat doe ik. 

Nu we weten dat onze geest die met Hem is, de zonde niet doet, maar de natuur van ons, zwak is, precies zoals Paulus verhaalt van zichzelf. Zoals onderstaand vers exact verhaalt:

Rom 7:20  Indien ik hetgene doe, dat ik niet wil, zo doe ik nu hetzelve niet meer, maar de zonde, die in mij woont. 

Erg versterkend vind ik onderstaande verzen, daar zij precies beschrijven, waar ik mij eveneens en vele anderen met mij, bewust van geworden zijn.

Rom 7:21  Zo vind ik dan deze wet in mij; als ik het goede wil doen, dat het kwade mij bijligt. 
Rom 7:22  Want ik heb een vermaak in de wet YHVH’s, naar den inwendigen mens; 

Naar de inwendig mens, dat is onze geest. De uitwendige mens, dat is onze natuur.

Rom 7:23  Maar ik zie een andere wet in mijn leden, welke strijdt tegen de wet mijns gemoeds, en mij gevangen neemt onder de wet der zonde, die in mijn leden is. Rom 7:24  Ik ellendig mens, wie zal mij verlossen uit het lichaam dezes doods? 

Met de strijd in onze leden, komt ook de oplossing dichterbij, want Hij nadert tot ons als wij tot Hem naderen en gehoor geven om ons om te draaien, weg te draaien van datgene wat ons verwijdert van de Vader.

Rom 7:25  Ik dank Elohim, door Yeshua haMasshiach , onzen Meester. 
Rom 7:26  Zo dan, ik zelf dien wel met het gemoed de wet Gods, maar met het vlees de wet der zonde. 

Belijden van hetgeen ons in de weg staat, zal vergeving brengen en onze geest in vrijheid stellen. alhoewel onze geest niet zondigt, wordt zij door de zonde wel afgeremd om over het vlees koning te zijn. We worden door zaken als hierboven beschreven, gevormd om zelf de strijd aan te gaan, te overwinnen en Hem de eer te geven. Onderwijl kunnen we anderen bemoedigen hetzelfde te doen.

Deze maand is de maand Elul. In de najaarsfeesten zullen we Hem weer ontmoeten. Hij is dáár! Samen naderen totdat de hereniging in veelvoud een feit is.

Alle eer aan Hem.

Wat Paulus nu écht bedoelde…

Both Houses of Israel
According to Scripture, the “Two Houses of Israel” are two separate and distinct entities. Each of them has its own specific prophetic destiny. But even though two, they are still bound to the calling which they have inherited from their forefather Jacob – that is, to be one chosen nation of kings and priests. However, in the course of their history YHVH divided the nation into two nation/kingdoms for His purposes and plans that are directly related to the covenant that He swore to Abraham. Thus, it is very important to understand the first-born concept and its centrality in YHVH’s plan of redemption, and its connection to the Two Houses of Israel. Grasping the firstborn principle is paramount to the understanding of the latter day events recorded in the Tanach.

Isaiah 8:14 presents the ‘Two House truth’: “He will be as a sanctuary, but a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense to BOTH the houses of Israel”. As long as these two continue to stumble and take offense over the One who is their Rock they will remain two distinct entities.
Many like to define the two groups as ‘Christians’ (Israel/Ephraim), and ‘Jews’ (Judah), as if they are made up of two religious sects. In spite of that we must realize that all tribes are represented in both houses, and that together they constitute multitudes of peoples, which make up many ethnic groups. But for our purpose here, let us relate to them as nations. We have, then, the nation of Judah/Israel today, being made up mostly of Jews from Judah. On the other hand, because YHVH is true to His word, there is also the other house (Joseph/Ephraim), which YHVH has sown or mixed into many peoples in literally all nations: “Ephraim has mixed himself among the peoples” (Hos. 2:8), being the “fullness of the nations” (Genesis 48:19), even though most of them are unaware of their identity. The influence of the multitudes of Ephraim, on some of these nations, brought about blessings of multiplicity, military prowess and economic wealth (see Genesis 49:22-26). In the blessing to Joseph, through his son Menasseh, Jacob pronounced that they would become a great people. However, as a great people the descendants of the northern kingdom would not be able to connect their greatness to the fulfillment of the prophecies, as YHVH was going to blind them and cause them to forget their identity (which is indicated by the meaning of the very name “Menasseh”).…..

Kalenderverschillen….Waarom?

Nu velen in deze tijd tot het inzicht komen om terug te gaan naar de gezette tijden van YHWH, komt er iets op hun weg, wat verdeling kan veroorzaken en géén eenheid.
Dat “iets” is het verschil van inzicht in de kalender.
De een houdt de sliffer van de nieuwe maan aan, de ander ziet de zg donkere maan als zijnde nieuwe maan en dan zijn er ook nog zij, die uitgaan van de equinox of nog een andere equilux.
De verschillen liggen er al en vóórdat dat verschil gaat verharden, is het belangrijk om op te merken dat het kalenderpunt,nooit een verschil zou mogen maken.
Omdat?
Gisteravond las ik een artikel van Joel Lewis, die mijns inziens heel goed verwoordt waarom de verschillen in de kalender geen verschil mogen maken…
Het is met googlevertaling heel goed te lezen.
Ik raad u het lezen ervan aan,omdat het ook in ons land een opkomende zaak is.

He did indeed give Moses, the authority to proclaim the Feast, The Priest and the Judges all over Israel.

This is NOT a calendar Issue, it becomes an authority Issue.

For the Most part, we hadn’t had the Court system as they did in 1 AD or even 1500 BC, a Sanhedrin to proclaim the Feast of YHWH!

And let me summit, that no matter what calendar they use, it is the calendar we all should use, to be as one in Israel!

Bickering about a calendar, everyone doing the feast on different dates according to “What is good in our own eyes,” is useless, but coming together in unity as one, As Israel is wonderful!

It is not about a calendar, it is about the authority given!

Ezekiel 20

37 And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant:
38 And I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me: I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am YHWH.

I want to post a letter that I sent out this morning to a head of a congregation, that disagrees. To make clear my stance.

And you may disagree, the reason I sent that out was to open a discussion on this. Iron sharpens Iron, but a diamond can sharpen anything!

You state that you want to be one with Yahoshua and His people, I think that most all of us also want that. Now, is that saying that those who love Yah/Yahoshua but keep the feast at different dates then you, are not His people?

What I have seen in this, just yesterday, after banging my head for so long about His calendar, is that this whole thing is not about a calendar. If it was about His calendar, He would have given us a clear understanding of the calendar as He has done with the Sabbath and it being a sign between Him and us.

He said, in Ezekiel 20:38 that He would “purge out from among you the rebels.”
A Rebel is not one that follows a wrong calendar, but one that stands up against the authority.

Had the calendar been a salvational issue then it would have been made clear in Torah, just as in Nehemiah 8:8 when they had to make Torah clear to those who had came out of Babylon, they had to make them understand because many of them did not even speak Hebrew.

Yah knew that we would be scattered in the nations. He knew small pockets of believers in Him and lovers of Yahweh would be all across Europe and all across America, and some in Iran and all over the world. He knew that Joel in the hills of North Carolina would not even have a congregation to go to or be a part of. He already knew that! He knew that calendar issues would separate peoples and cause division. So, why didn’t He make His calendar clear if that would be a point of purging anyone out from among His people? Can I suggest that He is not using His calendar to purge anyone out, but He is using authority given to purge people out? Namely the rebels who rebel against the authority He has given to Moses? To the Leaders of the congregations?

If you use the calendar as a part of the redemption plain, then you have major problems. The Moon, a part of Babylon, The Equinox you also have major problems. Either the spring Equinox for setting the year, and 30 day months, but when you come to the end of the year, you are left with days left over. If you use both Equinoxes to set the first and seventh month, then Genesis 7 and 8 will never work out to five months 150 days from the 17th day to the 17th day. No Matter what calendar anyone uses, it will not come out perfectly, and Yah is perfect.

James calls the Torah, the perfect law of liberty (James 1:25)!

May I also suggest that with perfect liberty, I can do succot with Manna from Heaven and be in unity with them, or I can spend succot with Bondservant, or with “In That Day dot net” or under any congregation that I chose being in exile, and be in unity with them and still worship Yahweh, and still Love Yahweh, and love His Torah, and be in unity with Yahoshua and His people? Under liberty I am not stuck in a letter of the law that is not even in the law! The whole calendar Issue is nothing but bondage, contrived doctrines of men, when the real issue is the authority that has been given for the one in leadership to proclaim the Feast of YHWH! We are not in bondage but in liberty even in exile.

Yes, I have seen it myself, and I hate the fact that they did that. You being the leader of a body of believers is given charge of proclaiming the feast days. You sit in the seat of Moses with-in your congregation. This and the Temple Mount is where the proclamation for the Feast do go out as well as other judgments. Torah says to do all they command (Deuteronomy 17:8~13), and Yahoshua agrees (Matthew 23:2). The problem is we have no real Levites that we can say, see we have a Levite! So the scribes and the Pharisees sit in the seat of Moses, like it or not. But then we also sit in judgment over other groups of believers claiming we are at one with Yahoshua and by default these others are not. We want nothing to do with people who do not think as we do and worship as we do, we cause division.

Yahweh was very specific and very clear about the foods we eat, even detailed on the subject, however, when it comes to the calendar He keeps silent. No clear instructions given in the Torah, not even in the prophets. What to do with the calendar and how to celebrate feasts/shabbat is vague. Could it be that Our ways is not His ways? Our thoughts, not His thoughts?

Our Error comes when we lift ourselves over other believers who do not follow our ways, what we proclaim, and what we do. “We are more at one with YHWH then these poor people still following the moon cycles of Babylon.” And if none of the calendars fit, then none of them are right so how can we worry about it to the point of causing division and hurt feelings? Place others into our bondage? Where does it say we ever had a 364 day cycle, or a 360 day cycle? It does not it is not clear.

If following Talmud makes the laws of YHWH to none effect, doesn’t this also make the laws of YHWH to none effect?

This has set me free, and I can be very specific and very clear about why… I do not have to spend my time worrying about the calendar issues of others because it is not in there. My time can better be used to love my brothers, Ephraim and Judah and the strangers with them! I can spend the Feast Days YHWH has given with any of my brothers I want to, Ephraim or Judah and be in the perfect law of liberty.

I am convinced that no one will follow the true calendar of YHWH until Messiah comes and sits on the thorn on the Temple mount, until that time I am content on having the liberty to spend the feast and to worship with what ever group I can make it to, or want to visit. 39 But Yeshua said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.
40 For he that is not against us is on our part.
41 For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Messiah , verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.

9 And thou shalt come unto the priests the Levites, and unto the judge that shall be in those days, and inquire; and they shall show thee the sentence of judgment:

10 And thou shalt do according to the sentence, which they of that place which YHWH shall choose shall show thee; and thou shalt observe to do according to all that they inform thee:
11 According to the sentence of the law which they shall teach thee, and according to the judgment which they shall tell thee, thou shalt do: thou shalt not decline from the sentence which they shall show thee, to the right hand, nor to the left.

Sin, Righteousness, and Judgment

The work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the follower of Mashiach Yeshua is very important. Equally important is the work of the Holy Spirit through that person’s life in the lives of others. We examine this aspect of the work of the Spirit in this study.

The work of the Ruach Qodesh

Yochanan (John) 16:8

“And He, when He is come, will convict the world in respect of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment.”

In explaining the work of the Ruach Qodesh (Holy Spirit) when He would come into this world, Yeshua taught His followers that His work would involve three aspects: sin, righteousness, and judgment. Yeshua gives a brief explanation in the next three verses, which we shall look at briefly. However, it is not solely the work of the Ruach Qodesh in which we are interested in this study. More specifically, we are interested in the work of the Ruach Qodesh in the life of those who follow Mashiach Yeshua, and how the Ruach Qodesh manifests each one of these three aspects in and through us.

Yochanan (John) 16:9

“of sin, because they do not trust on Me;”

The Ruach Qodesh convicts people of sin. Part of the sin which He convicts people of is not trusting in Yeshua as Mashiach. This is especially true of those walking in the ways of the world. However, if a follower of Mashiach Yeshua has a way in his life which is according to the world and not according to the Living Torah, then the Ruach Qodesh shall certainly convict him of this sin as well.

Yochanan (John) 16:10

“of righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you behold Me no more;”

When Mashiach Yeshua ascended back to His heavenly Father, this was an act of righteousness. He was able to do this because He had no sin in His life. The sin for which He died was our sin, which was laid upon Him. He who knew no sin, became a curse on our behalf. However, this too, was an act of righteousness.

Yochanan (John) 16:11

“of judgment, because the prince of this world has been judged.”

Each person knows through the work of the Ruach Qodesh that the prince of this world, Satan, has already lost. He has been judged. Those who follow him and his ways shall be judged as well in the same manner as he has been judged and receive that which is according to their deeds.

Almost every follower of Mashiach Yeshua knows these three basic truths. However, there are a couple of pieces of this which the follower of Mashiach Yeshua may not yet have put together until now. The Ruach Qodesh is not simply in this world as some mystical Entity going about doing His work. Rather, the Ruach Qodesh lives in the followers of Mashiach Yeshua, and He functions through them in this world.
